Users Guide for the Shared-Use Program of JAEA Facilities

Support for projects other than non-proprietary proposals (proprietary research and research other than R&D such as commercial use, etc.) will be implemented as JAEA’s independent project based on the " Shared-Use Program of JAEA Facilities".

The applicant eligibility, regular call for proposals, application method, necessity ofadvance consultation, multiple proposal applications, facility use agreements, and validity period for approved proposals are the same as for ARIM projects.

The (1) Handling fee and (3) Additional expenses are the same as for the ARIM project, but the (2) Facility Operating Expenses are different. In addition, JAEA will collect the (4) Beamtime fee (312,000 yen/shift) on behalf of JASRI.
The department that is in charge of the Shared-Use Program of JAEA Facilities will review the research proposals considering feasibility and safety.
